BEST SUMMER EVER!

Got to the airport with lots of time to spare. Gosh it was hard carting all our luggage around NY. I wasted my credit talking to family and friends both in the States and UK. Leaving the States was upsetting. It felt like I was leaving the whole 3 months behind me, as if I were moving further away from all my friends. I miss them all, I miss camp and I miss my trekking friends.

Now Im back home I have lots of things to do before I move on again to my new house in Stafford ready for Uni. Im going to keep in contact with all my friends Ive made, maybe even visit or meet up with some of them through-out this year. I had such an amazing time this Summer, Im sure it will be the BEST SUMMER EVER! Camp truely is a magical place, I loved it that much that I really hope I can go again next year.

TAKE ME BACK TO WOOD HAVEN xXx

NY city baby!

Flew to JFK from West Palm Beach. That was a trek, but not as difficult as we had expected. Checked in at the same hostel as before but this time in a double private room. For my bday which was awesome be the way, one of the best bdays ever! we went on a Helicepter ride over Manhatten. Wow the views, it was amazing, we got front seats in the chopper too so we saw every thing! We also went shopping in Macy's for quite a few hours. Got a ride on one of those bike taxi's at Times Square back to our hostel. Went out for a lovely meal at this oriental resturant on Times Square called Ruby Foo's. Aw the food was so tasty. yumm.
The other 4 days we:
  1. Walked round the whole of Central Park and stopped off at the National History meseum. Had a meal at Mars2112 which is an underground resturant on Broadway thats like Mars.
  2. Went on the Statten Island Ferry. Walked by the docks, sat for a bit by Brooklyn Bridge. Visited China town for a meal, through to Little Italy.
  3. Shopping on 7th. Met up with Kags (a friend from trek america) Got tickets to see Spamalot ( a Broadway show based on the film Monty Pythan and the Holy Grail)
  4. Shopping and left for the airport.

Welcome to Miami

Arlight so trek finished and me and Martin stayed in Miami for about 3 more days. Sorry to say though the weather was dreadful! It rained pretty much the whole time we were there. The only thing we did really was shop. Oh I remember when there was like a 3 hr slot were it didnt rain so we sunbathed for that short period of time, topping up on our tan, but then it rained again! We were just so used to it raining now that we didnt care, we walked around soaking wet. Photos to prove it.

Last day of Trek

ok so we made it to Key Largo ok. Weather was a bit suspect, we arrived with the blissering heat, just sitting there made you sweat. yuck! soon the clouds opened and it poured with rain. There was thunder and lightening and lots of it. It felt like I was in the film Twister!

Today the 2nd Sept woke up at 7:30 ready to go SNORKLING. The boat we were on took us out to the coral reef just off shore to the Keys. Got to see loads of different tropical fish. The colours were amazing.

Then quickly packed away and headed to Miami, our final destination. awwwwwwwww.

Me and Martin have arrived at The Miami Beach Internation Hostel. Its ok. Going to meet up for a meal with the rest of the group later. Have a nice goodbye and send off.

Nearing the End of Our Trek

New Orleans we got to go to the clubs, tour around the city, tour around the worst effected areas. Got the chance to do some volunteer work but didnt quite have time so we had to leave it which was a shame.

Panama City I went JET SKIING baby! oh yeah! I loved it, the speed the sun the spray. It was awesome, I love to do it again! I got some real good air.

Orlando we went to Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot, Island of Adventure and Universal Studios! Some of the rides where amazing, even though Ive done them all before, you never get tierd of them. Here we got to stay in these cute cottages, no tents! woo hoo. oh they had AC which was bliss!

At the moment im in Key Largo! We are going snorkling tomorrow. Not sure what the plans now because theres a storm outside. hehe.

Tomorrow afternoon we head to back up to Miami where we end our 2 week Trek. We and Martin are staying there until the 5th Sept when we fly to NY for my bday. Going on a helicopte ride over Manhatten I cant wait! Then we fly back to the UK on the 10th Sept.

Hope everyone is ok and well.

Love Debbie
