Before the Floods
...so before the whole evacuation happened, I had just got used to working with the children. We had moved units so I was staying in a cabin with 5 other councilors. We had to look after a group of Caddetts which are the oldest children at camp. There were 26 of them. The councilors did variouse activities with them through-out the day, whilst I work down at the barn. I give stable and horse riding lessons to all the children at camp except the browies, they are too young.
Ive taken 2 lessons by my self so far. The children told me later on that they enjoyed it so I must be doing something right.
At first its difficult to get to know all the children, but after the first day they have all made friends with one another and they are enjoying them selves and having fun so we councilors can do the same.
I have to wake up early (6:45) everyday to bring the horses in. Then I help take them back out at 5pm before I go and rejoin the rest of my unit in the evening.
